Methodology and sources
The peak and approximate review figures come from our November 4 FAQ reception snapshot. The peak is corroborated by SteamDB’s Steam curator entry, which records 833,921 on November 1. Review percentages depend on filters and the capture date; the current Steam store view can show an English-only subset, so it should not be compared directly with an all-language historical figure.
There is no runtime or build-time player-count request. The snapshot is maintained editorially, so builds work offline and a failed API cannot produce a false zero. The date above records this page’s check, not the time of a live data refresh. SteamDB is an independent tracker, not Valve.
Concurrency, sales, and reviews measure different things
Concurrency counts people playing at the same time. It is neither daily unique players nor lifetime sales. Steam counts exclude PS5 and other PC stores, and reviews are voluntary feedback. A fall from a launch-week peak does not by itself establish how many people bought or finished a single-player game.
Read the Steam review wall for archived player feedback or the review roundup for critic context. See Xbox availability for what the platform restriction means.
Frequently asked questions
What is Phantom Blade Zero’s Steam peak player count?
The recorded snapshot is 833,921 concurrent players on November 1, 2026. This is a historical peak, not the current online count.
Where is the live Steam player count?
Follow the SteamDB charts link on this page for current activity and the rolling 24-hour peak. This page does not poll a live API.
Does the player count include PS5 or Epic?
No. Steam concurrency excludes PlayStation, Epic, and other storefronts; it also does not measure total owners or sales.
Does 94% positive mean 94% of all players liked the game?
No. It describes the approximate share of positive Steam reviews in the dated site FAQ snapshot, not a survey of every owner.
